If you're rebuilding the heart of your Chevy 454 for serious street or naturally-aspirated racing use, a balanced rotating assembly like this one from Eagle is a solid foundation. This setup takes the guesswork out of matching critical internal engine components, ensuring they work together harmoniously for improved performance and reliability.

This assembly starts with a forged 4340 steel crankshaft featuring a 4.000-inch stroke, paired with strong 6.135-inch I-beam connecting rods made from the same 4340 steel. These rods are secured with robust 7/16-inch ARP 8740 bolts, known for their strength and reliability under high stress. The pistons are forged 4032 aluminum from Icon, featuring a -3cc flat top design and a 4.310-inch bore size, ready to be fitted with the included plasma-moly file-fit rings. To complete the package, King XP rod and main bearings are included, offering excellent wear resistance and performance.

Everything in this assembly is balanced from the factory, which is crucial for reducing engine vibration and stress on other components, especially at higher RPMs. This balanced approach helps your engine run smoother and last longer.
