If you're building a serious performance Chevy 454 engine, this balanced rotating assembly from Eagle is a solid foundation. It's designed for demanding applications, including racing, and can handle the stress of nitrous or forced induction setups. This assembly includes a forged 4.500-inch stroke crankshaft, 6.660-inch H-beam connecting rods with 7/16-inch ARP 8740 bolts, and Mahle 4.320-inch bore pistons with an 18cc dome. It also comes with plasma-moly file-fit rings and King XP rod and main bearings, all balanced as a complete unit.

The forged 4340 steel crankshaft offers a 4.500-inch stroke, giving you a larger displacement for more power potential. The H-beam connecting rods are well-built and strong, paired with ARP 8740 bolts that are known for their reliability under high stress. The Mahle pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its strength and ability to withstand high temperatures and pressures, and feature an 18cc dome that contributes to compression. The included plasma-moly file-fit rings allow for precise gapping to match your specific engine build and bore, while the King XP bearings are designed for high-performance lubrication and durability.
