If you're building a serious competition engine, especially a Chevy 502 big block, a strong rotating assembly is the heart of the operation. At the center of this assembly is a 4.250-inch forged 4340 steel crankshaft. H-beam rods are a popular choice for their robust design, and these come equipped with 7/16-inch ARP 8740 bolts, which are well-regarded for their reliability in high-stress environments. The pistons are forged 4032 aluminum from Mahle, featuring a 13cc dome and a 4.560-inch bore size, designed to work with the rest of the components for optimal combustion. This kit also includes plasma-moly file-fit piston rings, which allow for precise gapping to match your engine's specific needs and power goals. Finally, King XP rod and main bearings are included, offering good performance and wear resistance for demanding use.
