These rods are paired with 3.905-inch forged 2618 Mahle pistons. These pistons have an inverted dome design with a -16cc volume, which is a key specification for achieving specific compression ratios when paired with the right cylinder heads. The assembly includes plasma-moly file-fit piston rings, allowing for precise gap setting during installation to ensure optimal sealing and performance.
