If you're building a high-performance LS3 engine for racing, especially with power adders like turbos or nitrous, a strong rotating assembly is the heart of the operation. This assembly starts with a 4.000-inch forged 4340 steel crankshaft, known for its strength and durability under high stress. It includes 6.125-inch H-beam connecting rods, which are robust and well-suited for high-RPM operation. These rods are secured with 7/16-inch ARP 8740 bolts, a popular choice for their reliability. The pistons are forged 4032 aluminum from MAHLE, featuring a -4cc flat top design with a 4.065-inch bore, paired with plasma-moly file-fit rings for excellent sealing. To top it off, King XP rod and main bearings are included, offering improved lubrication and wear resistance for critical rotating components. This assembly is configured for a 58-tooth reluctor wheel, common in many LS applications.
