The assembly includes 5.700-inch 5140 I-beam connecting rods, which are strong and well-suited for this type of build. These rods come equipped with 3/8-inch ARP 8740 bolts, known for their reliability in holding critical components together under stress. Forged Mahle pistons, measuring 4.040 inches with a -5cc flat top design, are paired with plasma-moly file-fit rings. This piston and ring combination is chosen for its ability to work well with the crankshaft and rods, contributing to efficient combustion and good sealing.
