When you're building a Ford 302 for serious performance, especially for racing applications like nitrous or forced induction, a balanced rotating assembly is a critical starting point. This assembly from Eagle includes a forged 4340 crankshaft with a 3.400-inch stroke, paired with 5.400-inch H-beam connecting rods. These rods are secured with 7/16-inch ARP 8740 bolts, known for their strength and reliability under high stress.

The pistons are forged 4032 aluminum from Mahle, featuring a -6cc flat top design and a 4.000-inch bore size. They come with plasma-moly file-fit rings, which allow for precise gap setting to match your specific engine build and maximize sealing. To ensure smooth operation and durability, the assembly is fitted with King XP rod and main bearings. This entire rotating assembly is balanced at the factory, saving you a significant step and ensuring proper weight distribution for reduced vibration and improved engine longevity.
