If you're building a high-performance Ford 351 Windsor SVO engine for serious racing, a robust rotating assembly is the heart of your build. This assembly starts with a 4.170-inch forged 4340 steel crankshaft, known for its strength and durability under high stress. The main journals measure 2.750 inches, fitting standard 351W blocks. Connecting the crank to the pistons are 6.250-inch H-beam rods, which are a popular choice for their strength-to-weight ratio in performance builds. These rods are secured with 7/16-inch ARP 8740 bolts, a name trusted for their reliability in high-stress environments. The pistons are forged 4032 Mahle units, featuring a -6.6cc flat top design with a 4.125-inch bore, perfect for achieving a desired compression ratio with many cylinder head combinations. They come complete with plasma-moly file-fit rings, allowing for precise gap setting during installation. King XP rod and main bearings are included, offering excellent wear resistance and performance.
