They are made from OE spec grey cast iron, the same material used on new car production lines, and many are manufactured in EBC's own UK foundry. The wide slots cut into the rotor surface are designed to help clear out brake dust and debris, and also allow air to flow more freely, which helps the brakes run cooler. This improved cooling can reduce brake fade, especially when you're carrying heavy loads or driving at higher speeds, making them a solid option for SUVs, trucks, and towing applications, as well as sedans.

These rotors come with an anodized finish for protection. For domestic vehicles, this finish is black, while for imports it's gold. This finish not only looks good but also helps protect the rotor surface from corrosion. They are designed to work with FMSI pad number D1122 and are a direct fit for a wide range of Mercedes-Benz R-Class and ML-Class vehicles from the mid-2000s to early 2010s.
