The EBC Redstuff brake pads use a synthetic fiber compound enhanced with ceramic particles, a design choice that helps them perform well right from cold and continue to improve as they heat up. This material is a step up from older Redstuff compounds, offering longer life, better braking, and quieter operation. They are a well-built option for fast street driving and repeated heavy braking, with a nominal friction coefficient of 0.5.

One of the most notable benefits of these pads is their low dust output, which can be reduced by 60-90 percent compared to other pads. The minimal dust produced is also easier to clean, as it doesn't contain steel fibers. While they offer improved stopping power, especially from 100 mph where they've been shown to stop cars up to 13 meters quicker than OEM pads, it's important to be patient during the break-in period. This can take up to 1000 miles for the pads to fully conform to the rotor shape, ensuring optimal performance.
