These EBC 3GD Series Sport Slotted Rotors are built from OE spec grey cast iron, the same material used in new car production. The wide slots are a key design feature, helping to vent hot gases and debris away from the braking surface. This helps keep the brakes cooler under load and at speed, which can reduce brake fade, especially during spirited driving or when towing.

EBC makes a significant portion of their rotors in their own UK foundry, ensuring strict control over material quality and manufacturing. While some designs for overseas markets are sourced from approved suppliers, EBC specifies, samples, and tests all rotors for element analysis, grain structure, tensile strength, hardness, and ductility. These front rotors are vented and measure 280mm in diameter with a 23mm thickness, designed for a 5-bolt pattern. They are anodized for protection, with a black finish for domestic applications and gold for imports.
