With this set, you get a pair of EBC 3GD Series Sport Slotted front brake rotors. These are vented rotors designed for the front axle, featuring 5 bolt holes and a 305mm diameter. They are made from OE spec grey cast iron, with a notable design that includes wide slots. These slots are key to helping the brakes run cooler, which can reduce brake fade, especially under load or at higher speeds. The slots also help to remove dirt, dust, and debris from the braking zone, ensuring more consistent contact between the pad and rotor. EBC manufactures many of their rotors in their own UK foundry, using the same grey cast iron specifications as new car production. While they sometimes source rotors from approved overseas suppliers to complete their range, they emphasize rigorous testing for element analysis, grain structure, tensile strength, hardness, and ductility, with each rotor checked for runout. These specific rotors come with an anodized finish for protection, appearing black for domestic applications.
