When you're rebuilding the top end of your late-model Big Block Chevy, this Edelbrock Rollin' Thunder Camshaft (#2262) is designed to give you a serious boost in low-end to mid-range torque. It's built for Gen VI 454 and 502 V8 engines from 1996 and later, making it a solid choice for daily drivers, trucks, vans, RVs, and 4x4s that need more grunt from off-idle up to about 5500 rpm.

This camshaft comes with everything you need to get it installed and running right. You'll find flat tappet lifters included, along with assembly lube and detailed instructions to guide you through the process. Edelbrock designed this cam to work well with their Performer manifolds, and when paired with specific Victor Jr. intake manifolds and cylinder heads on a ZZ-502 short block, it's shown impressive results, producing 611 horsepower and 573 ft-lbs of torque. Keep in mind that this camshaft requires a high stall torque converter and should only be used with stock ratio rocker arms.

With an intake duration of 236 degrees and exhaust duration of 245 degrees, along with an intake lift of .625 inches and exhaust lift of .639 inches, this cam offers a noticeable improvement in throttle response. The lobe separation is set at 112 degrees, with an intake centerline of 109 degrees, contributing to its smooth idle characteristics.
