This is the Edelbrock polished RPM Air-Gap intake manifold, designed for big-block Chevrolet V8 engines with rectangular-port cylinder heads. If you're building a high-performance street or competition engine that needs to breathe deep and make serious power, this manifold is a solid choice. It's built for 396 to 502 cubic inch engines and is intended to work with engines that rev up to 6500 RPM.

What sets the Air-Gap design apart is the open space between the intake runners and the hot engine oil. This separation helps keep the air/fuel mixture cooler, which means a denser charge entering the cylinders and ultimately, more horsepower. The dual-plane, high-rise design with its 180-degree firing order helps produce impressive top-end power while still offering good throttle response for street driving. The larger plenum and runners are designed to match other performance upgrades like free-flowing exhaust systems and high-lift camshafts, maximizing the potential of your modified engine. This manifold includes provisions for rear water outlets, two distributor clamp locations, and nitrous bosses. It does not have provisions for exhaust-heated chokes or an exhaust crossover. While this manifold fits a wide range of vehicles, including models like the Chevrolet Impala, Chevelle, and C10 Pickup from the late 60s through the 70s and into the early 80s, it's important to verify fitment for your specific application.
