This Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake manifold is built for 1970-91 AMC 304, 343, 360, 390, and 401 cubic inch V8 engines, specifically for EFI applications. You'll receive the manifold itself, ready to be installed on a wide range of AMC and Jeep vehicles from the early 70s through 1991. This manifold is designed to help your engine breathe better, leading to more power.

What sets this manifold apart is its air-gap design. Unlike traditional manifolds where intake runners are surrounded by hot engine oil, the air-gap design creates a space that separates the runners from the oil. This separation helps keep the incoming air charge cooler and denser, which translates directly into more horsepower and improved throttle response. It includes provisions for standard oil fill and PCV systems, along with accessory bosses for early air conditioning brackets. Keep in mind that this manifold does not have provisions for exhaust-heated chokes or exhaust crossovers, and it's intended for square-bore carburetors. Edelbrock recommends their Thunder Series AVS or Performer Series carburetors in the 600-800 cfm range for optimal performance. The manifold's dimensions are a height of 4.45 inches at the front and 5.77 inches at the rear, with a carburetor pad height of 5.11 inches. Port exit dimensions are 1.04 inches by 2.10 inches.

For installation, Edelbrock recommends intake gasket #7213 or Fel-Pro MS96011. If you are using the #7531 gasket, ensure you have the factory-style metal valley tray, as this gasket has offset center bolt holes. For vehicles from 1979 and later, you will need bracket #8034. A good camshaft pairing for this manifold would be the Edelbrock Performer RPM #7132.
