If you're working on a 1976-1981 Pontiac Firebird and notice the body seems to sag or isn't sitting right on the frame, worn-out body mounts are likely the culprit. Original rubber mounts can crack, distort, and eventually fall apart, leading to alignment issues between the car's body and frame. This set from Energy Suspension uses their specially formulated Hyper-Flex polyurethane to replace those old, tired rubber pieces.

Polyurethane offers a good balance for street use. It's tough enough to hold its shape and provide a solid connection, unlike harsh aluminum mounts that can break and cause other parts to fail. At the same time, it's not so stiff that it makes the ride uncomfortable.
