Constructed from 1 1/4 inch steel tubing, this angled spare tire carrier from Fabtech is MIG welded at the joints for solid strength and durability. It's designed to let you carry a full-size spare tire, up to 35 inches tall, securely in the bed of your truck. The angled design helps position the tire for easier access or to better fit around other cargo.
You have a couple of options when it comes to mounting this carrier. You can drill four holes and bolt the base plate directly into your truck bed for a permanent setup. Alternatively, you can spend a bit more time installing the mounting plate underneath the bed, which allows you to remove the spare tire carrier discreetly when it's not in use. This makes for a very clean installation, and it's one of the tidiest spare tire carriers you can find.
