The two magnets on the collar of this pickup are key to how it works. When these magnets pass by the sensor, they send a signal that lets your FAST XFI unit calculate your driveshaft's RPM and acceleration. This gives you a much more precise reading than just relying on engine speed alone, which is especially helpful for drag racing. It can even provide a MPH reading and, if you input your tire size, your miles per gallon.
This part is a direct replacement for the magnetic pickup used in FAST's 301436 and 301437 Driveshaft Speed Sensor Kits. It's designed to give your traction control system the accurate data it needs to perform at its best.
