When you're building a race engine, getting a precise and stable timing signal is critical, and this FAST XDi Sportsman Distributor is built to deliver just that. What you get in the box is the distributor itself, complete with a large diameter Ford-style cap and a high-quality rotor. It's designed for Small Block and Big Block Chevrolet engines, fitting a wide range of vehicles from the 1980s through the mid-90s, including popular models like the Chevrolet Camaro, Corvette, and C/K series trucks.

This distributor uses an advanced Hall-effect pickup, which is a key feature for race applications. Unlike traditional magnetic pickups that can have slight retard at higher RPMs, the Hall-effect design ensures your timing stays locked and stable from idle all the way to redline. The housing is CNC-machined from billet aluminum for strength and precision, and inside, a polished stainless steel shaft rides on a sealed ball bearing at the top and a long bushing at the bottom. FAST has also worked to minimize end play, which helps prevent timing variations and protects the distributor gear.

Keep in mind that this distributor is designed for locked-out timing, meaning there's no mechanical advance. You'll need to use it with a FAST Ignition Control, specifically an E6 or E7 series. This setup is ideal for a dedicated race vehicle where precise timing control is paramount.
