When you're rebuilding the rear main seal on your FOP Performance V8, especially the 302 (5.0L) or 302 SVO, a reliable seal is critical to prevent oil leaks. This Fel-Pro 2941 crankshaft seal kit is built for the realities of engine repair, designed to handle imperfect sealing surfaces and provide a dependable seal.
The PTFE rubber used in this seal offers excellent compatibility with various fluids and high temperatures. This material also allows the seal's contact surface to run on slightly undersized shafts, seal minor imperfections in the crankshaft, and virtually eliminate further wear on the shaft itself. It's engineered to perform well even under high crankcase vacuum, elevated temperatures, and high RPM conditions, making it a solid option for performance applications not used in emissions-controlled vehicles.
