Product Details
When you're rebuilding the top end of your engine, especially if you're dealing with higher temperatures or aggressive camshafts, replacing the valve stem seals is a critical step. These Ferrea valve stem seals are designed to keep oil from leaking down the valve guides into the combustion chamber, which can cause blue smoke on startup and increased oil consumption.
Ferrea uses Viton material for these seals, which can handle the higher temperatures found in exhaust valve applications and generally lasts longer than standard rubber seals. The 11/32 inch stem size and .500 inch ID are specific dimensions to ensure a proper fit on the valve stem. This is a single seal, so you'll need to order one for each valve you're servicing.
