This Fidanza flywheel is made from billet 6061 T6 or 2024 T4 aluminum, making it 40-60% lighter than the original equipment. This lower mass reduces rotational inertia (MOI), which helps the engine rev up faster, leading to quicker acceleration and a more responsive throttle. The heat-treated friction plate is designed for optimal grip and durability, and it's a bolt-on replaceable part, meaning you don't have to replace the entire flywheel when the friction surface wears out. It also uses military-spec fasteners for added reliability.

The flywheel includes a hardened 1050 steel ring gear that is also replaceable, ensuring a long service life. This setup is specifically designed for the 1275cc engine found in the MG Midget and Austin Healey Sprite models from the mid-60s to early-70s.
