Product Details
This Fidanza aluminum flywheel is made from billet 6061 T6 or 2024 T4 aluminum, making it significantly lighter than stock. This lower MOI allows your engine to rev more freely, leading to quicker acceleration and a more responsive throttle. It's designed to fit a range of BMW models including the 1999-2000 323i and 328i, the 2001-2005 325i, and the 2001-2003 X5.
The friction surface is a heat-treated, replaceable 1050 steel ring gear, which offers excellent grip and durability. Fidanza also uses military-spec fasteners for added reliability. The stepped dowels on most applications help ensure it bolts up correctly, and the friction plate itself is replaceable, meaning you don't have to replace the entire flywheel for future clutch jobs. This flywheel is typically 40-60 percent lighter than the original, which can free up additional horsepower by reducing rotational mass.
