This is the Ford Racing 460 Big Bore Big Block engine block, part number M-6010-A460XBB. It's a brand new casting, manufactured with all-new tooling, replacing the previous A460BB block. This block is designed for serious performance builds, offering a strong foundation for engines intended for professional competition.

Constructed from high-strength cast iron, this block features 4-bolt main caps on journals 2, 3, and 4 for added rigidity and support under high stress. The deck height is precisely set at 10.322 inches, with a tolerance of plus or minus .005 inches, ensuring accuracy for your build. It comes rough-bored to 4.490 inches, with a tolerance of plus or minus .003 inches, and can be further machined to accommodate bores up to a maximum recommended 4.625 inches. This allows for significant displacement increases, with the potential to build engines up to 598 cubic inches when bored and stroked. The main journal diameter is 3.00 inches, and it utilizes nodular iron main caps for durability. The block features siamese cylinder bores, meaning there's no coolant passage between adjacent cylinders, which contributes to its strength and allows for larger bore sizes. It's designed with a wet sump oiling system.

This engine block weighs approximately 275 pounds. Please note that this engine block is not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California. It also carries a Prop 65 warning.
