Ford Racing 460 Cubic Inch 575HP Crate Engine Rear Sump (Special Order No Cancel/Returns)

This Ford Racing Z460 crate engine is a serious upgrade for your 1985-1995 Ford Mustang, packing a 460 cubic inch punch with 575 horsepower and 575 lb.-ft. of torque. It’s built around the robust Ford Performance Boss block and topped with high-flow Z-Heads, making it suitable for both street driving and track use on premium unleaded fuel.

Inside, you'll find a SCAT forged steel crankshaft, SCAT forged H-beam connecting rods, Mahle forged pistons, and Clevite bearings, all assembled with performance clearances in the USA. This engine comes complete with a 7-quart rear sump oil pan featuring a louvered windage tray and crankshaft scraper, a Ford Performance long-type water pump, and gray crinkle cast aluminum valve covers. It’s internally balanced, so you'll need a neutral balance flywheel. While a distributor is not included, a steel distributor gear is required.

For optimal performance, Ford Racing recommends an Edelbrock Super Victor intake manifold and a Holley 850 CFM carburetor, along with long tube headers. Keep in mind that this engine is not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California. This is a special order item and cannot be canceled or returned once ordered.
