The aluminum body helps dissipate heat faster than a steel body, which is important for maintaining consistent damping performance, especially during extended use. Inside, an Internal Floating Piston (IFP) separates the oil from the high-pressure nitrogen gas, preventing aeration and ensuring smooth operation. The large, heavy-duty hard chrome shaft is built to withstand the demands of truck use, and the external reservoir further aids in cooling. Hourglass-shaped bushings are included to allow for increased articulation.
