GFB EX38 38mm V-Band Style External Wastegate

This EX38 external wastegate is a prime example, designed to handle the intense heat and pressure of high-boost turbocharged engines. It’s a compact unit that fits where larger wastegates might not, making it a popular choice for custom turbo setups and fabrication projects.

The body of this wastegate is investment cast from 253MA chromium-nickel stainless steel, a material chosen for its ability to withstand extreme exhaust temperatures. Inside, the valve, seat, and all mounting hardware are CNC machined from high-temperature stainless steel, ensuring durability and consistent operation. The actuator housing is CNC machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminum, and it features a Nomex-reinforced silicone diaphragm that can handle the harsh environment. An internal shroud protects the valve stem from excessive heat and helps prevent carbon buildup, which can cause sticking.

Installation is straightforward thanks to the V-band clamp mounting system, which is directly compatible with Tial MV-S flanges. This wastegate comes with a 10 PSI spring installed, and additional 5 PSI and 7 PSI springs are available separately. You can combine these springs to achieve base boost pressures ranging from 5 PSI all the way up to 22 PSI, giving you a lot of flexibility in tuning your engine's performance.
