In this kit, you get the front stainless steel brake lines from Goodridge, designed to replace the stock rubber lines on your 2009-2019 Nissan 370Z. Rubber brake lines can expand slightly under pressure, especially when they get older or when you're braking hard. This expansion can make your brake pedal feel a bit soft or spongy, and it doesn't help with stopping distance.
Goodridge uses a PTFE inner hose wrapped in a stainless steel braid for these lines. The PTFE hose is smooth inside and doesn't expand like rubber. The stainless steel braid protects the PTFE hose from abrasion and corrosion, and it also helps keep the hose from expanding under pressure. This means when you press the brake pedal, more of that pressure goes directly to your brake calipers, giving you a firmer pedal feel and more consistent braking performance, especially during spirited driving or repeated hard stops.
