Hella 190 x 132mm H4 Single High/Low Beam Headlamp - Off-Road Only

Swapping out old sealed beam headlights for a modern halogen unit is one of the simplest lighting upgrades you can do on an older vehicle. Hella's 003427861 is a 190 by 132mm H4 headlamp that drops into the same rectangular housing as a standard sealed beam, but instead of a sealed unit, you get a replaceable H4 bulb behind a precision-cut lens and polished metal reflector.

Hella rates this headlamp at 50 percent more light on low beam and 25 percent more on high beam compared to standard halogen sealed beams. The reflector focuses that output into a controlled beam pattern with a defined cutoff line, so you get better range and more even road coverage without blinding oncoming traffic in off-road settings. When the bulb eventually burns out, you replace just the H4 bulb instead of the entire sealed unit, which saves money over time.

The unit measures 190mm by 132mm, which is the standard 5-by-7-inch rectangular headlamp size. Note that this is the ECE version, which is for off-road use only in the USA. Dimensions are 7.5 by 5.6 by 6.6 inches and it ships at about 2 pounds.
