Product Details

The 1.5-inch smooth-bore, Type III hard-anodized aluminum body on these Hotchkis shocks is a solid starting point, offering a lightweight yet durable foundation for improved suspension performance. These rear shocks are specifically tuned by Hotchkis engineers, working with Fox, to bring a smoother ride and better control to a range of classic Mopar vehicles. You'll find them fitting models like the 1966-1972 Dodge Charger and Coronet, as well as the 1970-1974 Plymouth Barracuda and Cuda.

Inside, these shocks utilize digressive disc technology and a high-flow piston, paired with specially formulated oil and high-pressure nitrogen. This setup ensures consistent performance whether you're cruising or pushing your car a bit harder, adapting to varying conditions and temperatures. The 1/2-inch hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy shaft is built for durability, having passed 100-hour salt spray testing. A dual seal wiper/scraper system on the rod guide helps keep contaminants out, protecting the main seal and extending the life of the shock. The end caps are CNC machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum and come with polyurethane bushings for a solid connection.

Installation is straightforward as these are designed as direct replacements for OE shocks, with vehicle-specific mounting hardware included. Bolting these on can make a noticeable difference in how your classic Dodge or Plymouth handles.
