ICO 2.5 Series Coilover Kits

The 2024 Toyota Tacoma is a capable truck, and this ICON Stage 9 suspension system is built to take its performance to the next level, both on pavement and when you head off the beaten path. ICON's engineers focused on increasing wheel travel and damping ability, which directly translates into better vehicle control and a more comfortable ride, no matter the terrain. This system features ICON's 2.5 Series front coilovers, which come with remote reservoirs. These reservoirs hold more shock fluid and offer a larger surface area for heat dissipation, helping to prevent the shock fade that can happen during hard use.

What really sets these coilovers apart is the integrated CDXS (Compression Damping Dual Speed) valving. This allows you to independently adjust both high-speed and low-speed compression settings with 10 distinct detented positions for each. This means you can fine-tune how the suspension reacts to quick bumps versus slower, sustained compressions, giving you precise control over handling response and overall aggressiveness. The front coilovers are also height adjustable, letting you set your front lift anywhere from 1.25 to 3 inches over stock, which is crucial for fitting larger, more aggressive tires. To maximize suspension travel and prevent CV bind on 4WD models, this kit includes front differential drop brackets and specifically designed coilover lengths. It also replaces the stock differential bushings with polyurethane ones to reduce unwanted movement under load.

The rear of the truck gets a dual-rate coil spring design. This setup offers a softer initial ride rate for comfort, transitioning to a firmer overload rate for excellent load support and resistance to bottoming out, especially during off-road excursions. These rear springs are designed to provide about a half-inch of rear lift over stock when carrying around 600 pounds of extra weight, giving your Tacoma a more aggressive stance and better fender clearance for larger wheels and tires. For improved articulation and a better combination of free movement and road noise isolation, the tubular rear lower links use greaseless bushings on one end and robust FK rod ends on the other. The rear also benefits from ICON's 2.5 Aluminum Series CDXS remote reservoir shocks, which are tuned specifically for the Tacoma to balance performance front-to-rear. The upper control arms are tubular for added strength and durability, and they feature ICON's patented Delta Joint PRO, which allows for a full 90 degrees of articulation without binding, while also correcting front-end geometry and adding caster for improved drivability. All the aluminum components are CNC machined from 6061 aircraft-grade material for a strong yet lightweight build, and the shock bodies are CAD plated for corrosion resistance.
