The joint itself uses a larger ball with significantly more bearing surface and improved lubrication sealing for better durability and performance. The chromoly ball and shaft are hardened, and the replaceable races are made from graphite-impregnated sintered metal, all machined to tight tolerances for a smooth, metal-to-metal interface. The lubrication system has also been updated to distribute grease more efficiently without compromising the seal.
