It uses a larger ball with 56% more bearing surface than previous designs, along with better lubrication sealing for extended life. This joint offers a full 90 degrees of articulation, a 14% improvement over older designs, allowing for maximum suspension movement without binding. The chromoly ball and shaft are hardened to Rockwell C 55, and the replaceable races are made from graphite-impregnated sintered metal, all machined to tight tolerances for a smooth, metal-to-metal bearing interface. The redesigned lubrication system ensures grease is distributed efficiently without compromising the seal.
