Injen 03-06 Evo 8/9/MR Intercooler Pipe Kit (Will Not Work w/ Factory Air Box)

Injen is known for making performance parts that help turbocharged cars breathe better and make more power. This intercooler pipe kit is a prime example, designed specifically for your 2003-2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII, IX, or MR. After looking at the stock piping, Injen identified several areas where the factory design could be improved to help your turbocharger perform at its best.

This kit uses mandrel-bent aluminum tubing, which not only helps with airflow but also gets rid of the rust issues you might find on stock pipes. The ends of the tubing are beaded to make sure the silicone couplers stay put, even under pressure. Speaking of couplers, Injen uses their own automotive-grade silicone, which is built to handle higher heat, pressure, fuel, and oil compared to standard silicone, helping to prevent leaks and blowouts down the road. This kit includes both the hot and cold side pipes, and it's designed to work with either the stock intercooler or an Injen performance intercooler.

Keep in mind that this kit is not compatible with the factory air box, so you'll need to plan for that. Installation is straightforward since it uses the factory mounting locations and comes with all the necessary hardware, hoses, and clamps. You'll likely notice improved throttle response and a decrease in turbo lag once it's installed.
