This Injen RD Series cold air intake is built with a smooth, mandrel-bent 6061-T6 aluminum tube. This design creates an uninterrupted path for air, helping your 1999-2000 Mazda Protege's 1.8L engine breathe easier. The tube is positioned behind the front bumper to draw in the coolest, densest air possible, which can lead to improved performance.

Inside this kit, you'll find a fully serviceable Injen SuperNano-Web dry air filter. This filter offers a large surface area for increased airflow and effective filtration without needing oil. The engineers at Injen have tested this system to ensure safe air-fuel ratios are maintained, and dyno results show gains of up to 6 horsepower and 6 lb-ft of torque. You'll also notice a more aggressive, throaty engine tone when you step on the gas.
