This JE Pistons kit includes a full set of eight forged pistons, designed specifically for 350 and 400 Small Block Chevy (SBC) engines. These pistons are forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for engines built for high-demand performance applications like racing or heavy towing. They feature a dome design with a -1.8cc volume, a 4.040-inch bore, a 1.250-inch compression distance, and a 0.927-inch wrist pin diameter.

JE Pistons has incorporated several advanced features into this set to enhance durability and performance. The proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design helps reduce friction and power loss by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, reducing ring flutter and improving ring seal for more consistent power delivery. Additionally, a skirt coating, if included for your specific application, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation and longer engine life.
