JE Pistons uses a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design that helps reduce friction and power loss by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin, saving weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, which can improve ring seal and maintain consistent power. Some applications also feature a skirt coating that reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to quiet down engine noise. These pistons are specifically designed for each engine and intended use to give you the best combination of performance and durability.
