JE Pistons 350 SBC .400 DOME Set of 8 Pistons

JE Pistons has been a leader in forged racing pistons for over 75 years, building a reputation for durable and high-performance engine components. This set of eight pistons is specifically crafted for the popular 350 Small Block Chevrolet (SBC) engine, featuring a .400-inch dome to help achieve a desired compression ratio in performance builds. They are forged and machined entirely in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, making it well-suited for demanding performance applications where reliability is crucial.

These pistons incorporate JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design. This means they have reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, which helps minimize friction and power loss while also saving weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove. This feature helps manage combustion gas pressure, reducing the chance of ring flutter and improving the seal for consistent power delivery. Some applications also benefit from a skirt coating, which further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation and extended engine life.

This set is designed for a 4.030-inch bore and includes pistons with a 1.219-inch compression distance and a 0.927-inch wrist pin. They are engineered for each specific engine and use application to provide an optimized balance of performance and durability.
