Each piston is engineered and forged 100% in the USA, utilizing 2618 aluminum for the high tensile strength required in demanding performance builds. This set features JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design, which helps minimize friction and power loss through a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, saving additional weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may include an accumulator groove to reduce pressure from combustion gases, which helps prevent ring flutter and improves ring seal for consistent power delivery. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation. The flat top design with a 4.030-inch bore and a 1.000-inch compression distance is ready for your custom build.
