If you're building a high-performance engine for demanding applications like Sprint or Brodway racing, a solid set of pistons is crucial. This set of eight forged pistons from JE Pistons is built to handle the stress and heat of competition. JE Pistons has been making performance pistons for over 75 years, and they engineer and machine these right here in the USA using 2618 aluminum, which gives them the strong tensile strength needed for high-demand performance builds.

What sets these pistons apart is their proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design. This design helps reduce friction and power loss by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons might also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, reducing ring flutter and improving ring seal for more consistent power. Some applications also feature a skirt coating that further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, which can also help quiet down engine noise. This set includes eight pistons, each with a 4.035-inch bore and a 1.250-inch compression distance. They are designed for an 8-cylinder engine and feature a dome shape with a 14.0 cc volume.
