JE Pistons 4.020 SBC 8.5-INVDM Set of 8 Pistons

This is a set of eight JE Pistons, specifically designed for a 4.020 inch bore Small Block Chevy (SBC) engine with an 8.5:1 compression ratio, featuring an inverted dome design. These pistons are forged in the USA using 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for engines built for high-demand performance applications. JE Pistons incorporates several advanced design features to optimize performance and longevity. The proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width, and further saves weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, an accumulator groove may be included to help reduce combustion gas pressure, which can improve ring flutter and enhance ring seal for consistent power delivery. Some applications also feature a skirt coating designed to reduce friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, which also helps to lower operating noise. Each piston is designed specifically for its intended engine and use, aiming for optimized performance and durability.

This set includes eight pistons, each with a 4.020 inch bore, a 1.560 inch compression distance, and a 0.927 inch wrist pin.
