JE Pistons 4.020 SBC FT Set of 8 Pistons

This set of eight flat-top pistons is specifically made for the 4.020-inch bore size in SBC (Small Block Chevy) engines. They are engineered, forged, and machined entirely in the USA, using 2618 aluminum, which offers the high tensile strength needed for demanding performance applications. This material choice is crucial for engines that push the limits, ensuring the pistons can handle the stress.

These pistons feature JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design. This means they have a reduced skirt width to minimize friction and power loss, and a shorter wrist pin to save additional weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove, which helps manage combustion gas pressure to reduce ring flutter and improve ring seal for more consistent power delivery. Some applications also benefit from a skirt coating that further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, which also helps to quiet down engine noise.
