JE Pistons 4.030 SBC FT Set of 8 Pistons

This is a set of eight JE Pistons, specifically sized for a 4.030 inch bore Small Block Chevy (SBC) engine. These are flat-top pistons, meaning they have a level surface on top, which is important for setting your compression ratio. They are made from 2618 aluminum, a strong material chosen for its high tensile strength, making these pistons well-suited for high-demand performance applications where durability is key.

JE Pistons has been making forged racing pistons for over 75 years, and these are forged and machined 100% in the USA. They feature a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, also saving weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and maintaining consistent power. Some applications also feature a skirt coating that reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, which can also lead to quieter operation.
