JE Pistons 4.030 SBC FT Set of 8 Pistons

JE Pistons has been a leader in forged racing pistons for over 75 years, and they've put that experience into this set of 4.030" flat-top pistons for Small Block Chevy (SBC) engines. These pistons are forged and machined entirely in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for high-demand performance applications. They're designed specifically for the SBC engine and performance use, aiming for the best balance of durability and power.

This set features JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design. This design helps reduce friction and power loss by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and preventing flutter. Some applications also benefit from a skirt coating that further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, which can also lead to quieter operation.

This kit includes eight pistons, each with a 4.030-inch bore and a flat-top design with a -5.0 cc dish. The wrist pin diameter is 0.927 inches, and the compression distance is 1.250 inches.
