JE Pistons 4.040 SBC FT Set of 8 Pistons

Forged from 2618 aluminum, these JE Pistons are built for high-demand performance applications. This set includes eight flat-top pistons designed for a 4.040-inch bore, commonly found in Small Block Chevy (SBC) engines. JE Pistons brings over 75 years of experience to the table, engineering and machining these pistons entirely in the USA to ensure durability and optimized performance for racing and high-output street use.

The proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design is a notable feature, minimizing friction and power loss by reducing skirt width. This design, along with a shorter wrist pin, also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, which improves ring seal and maintains consistent power. Some applications also feature a skirt coating that reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation and longer life.
