Forged from 2618 aluminum, these JE Pistons are built for high-demand performance applications. This material choice provides the high tensile strength needed when you're pushing an engine hard, whether that's on the track or for serious street use. This specific set is designed for the 4.6 2V MOD STRKR engine with a compression ratio of 8.5:1. They feature a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width. This design also saves weight by using a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, leading to better ring seal and consistent power. Some applications also benefit from a skirt coating that reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, which can also help quiet down engine noise.

This set includes eight pistons, each with a 3.622-inch bore, a 1.200-inch compression distance, and an 0.866-inch pin diameter.
