This set features JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design. This design helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, which also contributes to saving weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, preventing ring flutter and improving ring seal for more consistent power delivery. Additionally, a skirt coating, if included for your application, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to lower operating noise.

With a compression ratio of 9.5:1, these pistons are designed for a 3.552-inch bore, a 1.200-inch compression distance, and use a 0.866-inch wrist pin.
