JE Pistons 4.6 3V MOD STRKR 8.5:1 Set of 8 Pistons

JE Pistons has been a leader in forged racing pistons for over 75 years, and they apply that experience to their domestic engine components. This set of eight 4.6L 3V MOD STRKR pistons is built for high-demand performance applications. They are forged in the USA using 2618 aluminum, which provides the high tensile strength needed for serious engine builds.

These pistons feature JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design. This reduces skirt width to minimize friction and power loss, while also saving weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, which can prevent ring flutter and improve ring seal for more consistent power. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.

Each piston is designed specifically for the engine and intended use, aiming for an optimized balance of performance and durability. This set is designed for an 8.5:1 compression ratio, making it suitable for forced induction or high-performance naturally aspirated builds.
