Crafted from 2618 aluminum right here in the USA, these pistons have the high tensile strength needed for high-demand performance builds. They feature a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design that helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width, while also saving weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, you might also find an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, which can improve ring seal and maintain consistent power. Some applications also include a skirt coating that reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.
