JE Pistons 4.6 3V MODULAR 8.5:1 Set of 8 Pistons

This product includes a set of eight forged pistons designed for the 4.6L 3V Modular engine. These pistons feature an 8.5:1 compression ratio and a 3.562-inch bore size, with a 0.866-inch wrist pin diameter. They are forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, making these pistons well-suited for high-demand performance applications where durability is critical.

JE Pistons has applied over 75 years of experience to these forged pistons. They incorporate a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width and saving weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to reduce combustion gas pressure, which helps prevent ring flutter and improve ring seal for consistent power. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.
